Description

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

· The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified practice accountant (ACCA/ACA).
· SORP charity experience (Audit and non-Audit experience)
· Educated up to degree level or CTS
· Experience supervising and coaching junior members of staff on site
· Working knowledge of firm services, issues regarding advice, and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering
· Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
· Previous experience in audit within a practice environment is essential.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
· Dependable, professional, and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

· Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, maintaining high-quality standards.
· Ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
· Analyse accounting data from client records, providing insights and recommendations.
· Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory, internal audit methodology, and risk management requirements.
· Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
· Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
· Address client queries promptly and professionally, promoting loyalty and trust.
· Mentor and support junior team members, answering questions and ensuring high-quality work.
· Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
· Deliver client work in adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
· Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE, and VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for sign-off.
· Drive efficiency and quality by utilising best practices and leveraging available tools and technology.
