Description
On behalf of our client, an audit firm, we are seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join their Accounting team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and perform audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio in accordance with ISA, IFRS, and the Companies Law (Cap 113). Prepare and review financial statements and tax computations in line with IFRS and Cyprus tax legislation. Review audit work of junior staff to ensure compliance with internal quality control standards; assist in planning, budgeting, and staff allocation. Maintain direct communication with clients and internal departments to coordinate audit requirements and resolve issues promptly. Monitor progress of assigned work, provide regular updates to Audit Managers and ensure timely completion of engagements. Support, mentor, and train junior team members; promote knowledge sharing and team development. Attend client meetings, follow structured agendas, and contribute to building strong, professional relationships. Stay updated on developments in auditing, IFRS, tax, VAT, AML, and Companies Law through continuous learning. Effectively manage multiple assignments with strong organisational and time management skills. Perform other audit-related duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; IT-related degree is a plus Newly qualified ACA/ACCA with strong exam results and over 3 years of audit experience, including at least 1-year post-qualification Solid knowledge of auditing procedures, accounting standards, Cyprus taxation, VAT, and Caseware Audit International Committed to high professional standards, confidentiality, and ethical conduct Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail and accuracy Highly self-motivated with effective communication skills in Greek and English knowledge of Russian or other languages is an advantage IT literate and able to maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
