REQUIREMENTS:

CA or CPA qualified
7+ years of audit experience. Experience in a national quality and risk team would be highly valued.
You will have detailed knowledge of International Auditing Standards, applied in an Australian and/or New Zealand context.
You may currently be an auditor looking to join a national risk and technical support team or already be part of such a team and wanting to gain broader exposure, with the opportunity to have a real impact on audit quality.
This position is based at one of William Buck’s office locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland. We offer flexible work options including hybrid work.

Responsibilities

A focus on authoring and facilitating learning programs for our audit professionals. This includes annual facilitation of face-to-face partner and manager training in each office.
Influencing, leading or participating in programs of work to improve audit quality, including enhancing our audit methodology and developing tools and templates to assist auditors in performing their engagements.
Supporting the Group’s readiness for new professional standards, including authoring policy changes and preparing communications to raise awareness of the changes
Responding to consultations from practitioners in relation to the application of the audit methodology or general risk related matters across our Australian and New Zealand practices
Maintaining engagement letter, auditor’s report and other templates
Managing annual CaseWare audit methodology and documentation tool update
Technical review of audit reports, including modifications, emphasis of matters and key audit matters
Supporting our monitoring programs
