About the Role We have an exciting Auditor opportunity to join our Brisbane Audit team. BDO’s Audit practice is a major player within the local marketplace, auditing many of Australia’s leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base. Our thriving audit practice works with and provides services to some of the most exciting, established and emerging companies. You will have the opportunity to work in a high performing team on a diverse client base, gaining exposure to challenging work across a broad cross section of industries. Key responsibilities include: Execute audits for proprietary, listed and not for profit organisations across a range of sizes and industries Complete assigned sections of audit files with limited supervision Assist in identifying audit and engagement risks and contribute to appropriate audit approaches Work closely with the engagement manager and senior team members, identifying potential issue areas or budget considerations Awareness of reporting and regulatory requirements across a variety of frameworks Analysis and documentation of internal controls and control environments Draft audit reports, management representation letters and other engagement documentation Support and assist junior team members on engagements Liaise with clients in relation to audit requests and engagement deliverables About You Previous external audit experience in a professional services firm CA/CPA qualification (or currently working towards) Exceptional attention to detail Experience working with General Purpose Financial Statements Ability to identify issues, understand scope and contribute to problem solving Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Why join our Audit team Be recognised and valued within a supportive, high performing team Professional opportunities and long-term growth, supported by Partner led mentoring A strong commitment to your ongoing development across technical, advisory, leadership and management capability, supported by both technical and non-technical training A values led culture that shapes how we work with each other and our clients Why BDO?
