Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of finance? As an Auditor in our Private Banking team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our control environment. Join us in London and be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and excellence.
As an Auditor in the Private Banking EMEA Audit team, you will assess the control environment across J.P. Morgan SE’s Private Banking activities. You will work closely with the UK Head of Private Banking Audit and collaborate with colleagues globally. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex audit engagements and contribute to the strategic vision of our Audit department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Relevant financial services industry experience, preferably within Audit or risk and control functions.
  • Strong understanding of internal control and risk assessment concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, sharing information and supporting colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues persuasively.
  • Ability to assess priorities, adapt to change, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Proven ability to support audit scope development and execution, seeking efficiency improvements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in wealth management, trading & brokerage services, fiduciary investment, and administration.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess control weaknesses and their impact.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in complex audit engagements from planning to reporting, ensuring quality and adherence to professional standards.
  • Execute audit testing on Private Banking and control functions, providing input to the strategic vision of the Audit department.
  • Independently evaluate, test, and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls, identifying root causes of issues.
  • Communicate audit findings clearly and concisely, identifying opportunities for improvement in key controls.
  • Present audit results to management, stakeholders, and risk forums.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, fostering a culture of engagement and value addition.
  • Execute continuous monitoring activities, analyzing key metrics to identify control issues and trends.
  • Utilize computer-assisted auditing tools to enhance efficiency and identify opportunities for continuous monitoring.
  • Stay informed on industry and regulatory changes impacting the control environment.
