For more information, please see www.dt-global.com The Role The AASI Communications and Events (C&EO) contributes, alongside the AASI Team Leader (TL), Deputy Team Leader (DTL) and all program staff to the delivery and quality of services provided by AASI. This includes communication strategy & plan, contributing to annual planning, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on identifying areas for continuous improvement, supported by analysis of lessons learned. Additionally, the AASI- C&EO supports the array of administrative functions of AASI. Previous work experience in field of communications or monitoring and evaluation highly desirable. Essential experience and knowledge proven experience in writing a variety of communications and/ or public diplomacy materials demonstrated knowledge of office operations, including procurement, with strong administrative skills high-level Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher skills basic understanding of maintaining a website will be highly desirable excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Solomon Islands Pidgin experience in events management proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with ability to prioritise own workload, work effectively both independently and as part of a team and deliver quality outputs within agreed timeframes experience and knowledge, or ability to quickly develop, of DFAT strategies, systems, processes, and development program requirements. Desirable personal attributes, skills, and experience demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural skills, with the ability develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders high degree of personal initiative, innovative, lateral thinking, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines commitment to a capacity development approach, teamwork, and ability to build constructive and effective relationships, and patience, self-awareness, resilience, and flexibility.
