Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused retail assistant for our Australia Post/Tatts outlet in Knoxfield.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent Attention to Detail: Display meticulous attention to detail when sorting mail and processing transactions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with customers and team members, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
  • Ability to Prioritise: Manage time efficiently to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and commitment to consistently deliver exceptional service.
  • Post Office working experience.
  • Retail and lottery (Tattslotto) experience (preferred but not necessary).
  • Be flexible to work 6-day rotating roster.
    Job Type: Casual
    Pay: $24.95 – $31.93 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Responsibilities
  • Performing customer sales and service transactions
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
  • Maintaining a cash advance accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
  • Promoting and processing a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post’s technology systems
  • Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including WorkSafe applications – establishing an applicant’s identity with a highest levels of accuracy and compliance
  • Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
  • Accepting mail items for lodgement, and accurately assessing any applicable charges
  • Assist with stock management and setting up visual merchandising
  • Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
  • Preparing outward mail for dispatch through – including presentation and the cancelling of stamps
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
  • Maintaining commitment to Australia Post’s Occupational Health and Safety standards
