THE IDEAL PERSON AND SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience supporting children with autism or SEN.
• A relevant qualification (Teaching Assistant for mainstream; care, health & social care, social work, or related for specialist settings).
• Patience, empathy, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine commitment to inclusive education.

The successful candidate will provide classroom-based support to pupils with autism, working in small groups or 1:1 as needed. Duties include supporting communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social skills, following EHCP guidance. Collaboration with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff is essential to deliver tailored learning experiences and ensure a nurturing environment.
