ABOUT US:

We are an established automotive service center expanding into the autobody and collision repair industry. Our goal is to create a high-quality, customer-focused body shop that delivers exceptional craftsmanship and service. We are looking for a skilled, experienced professional who can play a key role in both day-to-day repairs and the development of our new autobody division.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Autobody Collision & Repair Technician will be responsible for performing high-quality collision repairs, refinishing, and restoration work. In addition, this role will involve collaborating with management to help set up the new facility, improve operational processes, recommend equipment, and develop service offerings to ensure long-term growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in autobody collision and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of modern repair techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Red Seal or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience with estimating software (Mitchell, Audatex, CCC) is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a leadership or shop setup role is a strong asset

Responsibilities

Technical Duties:

  • Perform structural and non-structural repairs on vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct damage assessments and provide accurate repair estimates.
  • Remove and replace damaged panels, parts, and components.
  • Carry out surface preparation, sanding, priming, and painting.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Business Development & Setup:

  • Assist in selecting tools, equipment, and layout for the new autobody facility.
  • Provide input on workflow processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Help develop service packages, pricing, and customer experience strategies.
  • Offer expertise in hiring, training, and mentoring future autobody team members.
  • Support marketing efforts by providing professional insights into the industry.
