REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an automotive setting.
• Strong knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
• Experience with water-based paints (essential).
• Excellent colour matching skills and knowledge of colour theory.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Vocational training/certification in auto body painting (preferred, not essential).
• Good communication and organisational skills.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to work in our busy Accident Repair Centre. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive spray painting and a strong eye for detail. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles, mixing and applying paints to factory standards, and ensuring the highest level of finish and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare vehicles for painting (sanding, masking, priming).
• Mix and match paints to ensure factory colour accuracy.
• Apply paint using spray guns and other equipment, ensuring correct finish and thickness.
• Operate drying/heating equipment to speed up paint curing.
• Perform quality checks to ensure defect-free work.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
• Track paint usage and assist with stock management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
