Description

Auto Electrical Engineer
Macpac Refuse Bodies requires an electrical fitter to assemble, fit, and test electrical looms and equipment such as cameras, reverse sensors, beacons, weighing systems, scene lighting to our Macpac bodies and new chassis on our assemble line.

Key responsibilities for the electrical fitter include:

  • Assembly and Fitting: Assembling electrical components, wiring, and control panels according to schematics and drawings.
  • Repair and Maintenance: After testing diagnosing and repairing any faults in electrical equipment and systems.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Ensuring that work is completed to required standards and specifications.
  • Following Technical Documents: Interpreting and working from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Collaboration: Working with engineers and other team members to complete projects.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical principles, components, and systems.
  • Manual Dexterity: Precision and hand skills for working with small components and wiring.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults after assemble.
  • Experience: Experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and testing, often gained through an apprenticeship or relevant training.
  • Ability to read schematics and drawings: Understanding technical documents is crucial for this role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £34,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
