JOB SUMMARY

Alloy Bodies has a 50-year long heritage within the commercial vehicle body building sector. We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team with the opportunity to develop a career path through results and application. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role involves performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest safety standards.
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience), and Bonus System

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Proven track record in the Automotive Industry.
Should be conversant in installation of beacon bars, reversing/side scan sonar systems, pre-manufactured electrical looms, side markers, rear markers, internal lights.
Wiring of newly installed tail lifts.
Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring.
Ability to install electrical systems.
Strong attention to detail
Excellent attendance and time keeping
Ability to work autonomously (self-starter) and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for various tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Wiring installation of a variety of electrical ancillaries of commercial vehicles:
E.g. Tail lifts, Tail lamps, High Level Stop Lamps, Number Plate Lights, Side Marker Lights, Reverse Beepers, Reverse Cameras, Beacons etc.
Root cause analysis and rectification of electrical Warranty claims.
Both on-site, and at Customer base (local and national if necessary).
Liaise with Sales and Product Engineering at an early stage to ensure practical solutions are considered on any innovative designs (electrical).
