AUTO ELECTRICIAN - AUSTRAL

We are looking for a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic to work full-time and assist with our fleet of trucks and trailer repairs.

We pride ourselves in delivering effective transport services for all aspects of poultry farming from eggs to transporting live birds from breeder to the processing plant, utilising our large fleet of vehicles and equipment.
We are a well-established growing business that specialises in a variety of industries and requires a dedicated team member to keep our equipment operating at its optimum capacity and assist with new equipment installs and maintenance of this equipment.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a similar role, having worked on commercial vehicles.
• Trade qualifications in Auto Electrics.
• Air Conditioning Qualifications.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Available to travel to various locations when needed including interstate travel as required.
• Knowledge and experience of modern heavy vehicle and forklift electrical and electronic systems.
• Be self-motivated, work in a professional manner and can work autonomously when require out on sites.
• Team player with the ability to work unsupervised.

Desirable:

• HR or MR Licence
• Valid Forklift License
• Experience working on Scania, Guardian Seeing Machines & Fitting of third-party sensors.

Work Location: In perso

• Installation of Seeing Machine equipment.
• Completion of Seeing Machine service and checks across all depots at least every 3 months.
• Installation and Repair of SEEN Sensors across all forklifts at all sites.
• Air Conditioning service & maintenance for trucks.
• Working with other team Members on electrical repairs on fridge van trailers and fridge motors.
• Installation of Park Brake Alarm systems (Redarc / Road Power).
• Installation of Blind Spot Radars on Prime Movers (Spotto).
• Electrical fit outs on specialised delivery trailers.
• EBS brake system maintenance.
• Completion of Service Records and Documentation.
