JOB SUMMARY:

The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in construction vehicles and heavy equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, and trucks. The role requires strong technical knowledge of automotive electrical systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • ITI/Diploma in Auto Electrical or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in auto electrical maintenance, preferably in construction or heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in outdoor site conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and UAE labor regulations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, JCB, or Volvo construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle systems is a plus.
  • Ability to handle emergency breakdowns on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in construction vehicles and heavy machinery.
  • Install and maintain wiring, lighting systems, alternators, starters, and other electrical components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and ensure proper functioning.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and site supervisors to coordinate repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history.
  • Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated or faulty systems.
  • Train junior technicians or assistants when required.
