Auto Packaging Operator 2nd Shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 PM   Job Summary Setup, run, train, and troubleshoot MPL automated labeling and packing machine(s).   Key Job Responsibilities Setup, run, train, and troubleshoot MPL automated Calvary machine.  Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics. Scan the correct production information. Set up printer and verify labels, numbers, and product amounts to match route card information.  Perform light maintenance tasks to include PM's and troubleshooting of machine inaccuracies. Ex. changing product pads.   Gather and verify all raw materials per the route card.  Follow standard operating procedures to complete orders.   Maintain production for multiple lines while performing other duties as assigned.  Complete production records and data entry as required.  Sustain 6S standards through good housekeeping and execution of standard work.  Follow all company safety procedures in the completion of job duties.  Verify that all safety related devices, machine guarding, signage are in place and functioning prior to releasing equipment for production.  Wear the required PPE for the job function.     Key Job AccountabilitiesCommitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions. Operator responsible for following green insert control plan, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications and the quantity and style are correct. Work to meet daily departmental production goals. Communicate safety, quality and product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.    Requirements Must have High School diploma or GED. 2 year technical degree preferred.   Work EnvironmentEnvironment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems.  Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety Shoes are required.  Gloves, cut resistant gloves when necessary.    Physical Demands:Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period.  Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.   Problem SolvingIncumbents determine each day’s work by checking available product, available furnaces, and status of product orders while being aware of unique batch requirements.  Follow green insert control plan. Instructions received written and orally from quality assurance and supervisors.  Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedure and/or work instruction.
