Job Title: Automotive Painter (1- 2 years of UAE experience is mandatory)

Location: Ras Al Khor, Dubai
Reports To: Paint Shop Supervisor / Service Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Automotive Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and refinishing vehicles to meet manufacturer specifications and customer expectations. This role requires expertise in color matching, surface preparation, and applying paint finishes using advanced techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: (2 YEARS UAE EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY)

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in automotive painting/refinishing; certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HVLP spray guns, paint mixing systems (e.g., PPG, BASF), and color-matching tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve flawless finishes and match complex paint codes.
  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods, lifting to 50 lbs, and working in a paint booth environment.
  • Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of PPE (respirators, gloves, etc.) and hazardous material handling.
  • Certifications: I-CAR or ASE refinishing certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation:
  • Sand, mask, and clean vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections before painting.
  • Apply primers, sealers, and other preparatory coatings as needed.
  • Paint Application:
  • Mix and match paint colors accurately to meet manufacturer and customer requirements.
  • Operate spray guns, paint booths, and other equipment to apply basecoats, clear coats, and specialty finishes.
  • Ensure even coverage, smooth finishes, and minimal overspray.
  • Quality Control & Detailing:
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects, runs, or inconsistencies and perform touch-ups as needed.
  • Buff and polish finished surfaces to achieve a high-gloss, showroom-quality finish.
  • Verify paint matches and finishes meet quality standards before returning vehicles to customers.
  • Equipment & Safety Maintenance:
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns, booths, and ventilation systems.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals, paints, and hazardous materials (OSHA/EPA compliance).
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials (e.g., solvents, thinners).
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with body repair technicians, service advisors, and other team members to meet deadlines.
  • Document work performed and materials used in job orders or digital systems.
