Location: Austin, TX Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time (Multiple shifts available) JOB OVERVIEW: We are hiring an Automotive Body Technician to support maintenance, repair, and readiness of autonomous electric vehicles. This role combines mechanical work with light-to-moderate body repairs to ensure vehicles are safe, functional, and operational. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess and document vehicle damage after incidents Perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs with vendors Conduct routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, tires, AC, inspections) Perform light-to-moderate body work (panel alignment, trim, bumpers, cosmetic repairs) Assist with sanding, surface prep, and paint touch-ups Monitor vehicle condition and report issues proactively Support field operations including towing and vehicle movement Transport vehicles for service, repairs, and cleaning Maintain shop cleanliness and safety compliance REQUIREMENTS: Experience in automotive repair and body work Knowledge of panel fitting, trim, and exterior component installation Familiarity with hand and power tools used in body work Ability to assess cosmetic vs structural damage Strong attention to detail and safety mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Experience with electric vehicles is a plus SHIFT OPTIONS: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
