This candidate will help build and weld components using part-specific fixtures. Interpret part drawings and precisely build them to specification. Use provided tools to assemble and weld components to print. Requirements and Duties: * Understanding TIG Welder control panel and operations * Setup and operate automated welding processes. * Remove unnecessary items (scraps, old electrodes, redundant fixtures) from the welding station to keep the WIP area uncluttered. * Separate non-conforming or rejected parts from passing WIP to prevent accidental usage. * Arrange work area in accordance with required jobs.  * Knowledge of Welding Gases * Knowledge of Electrode types and diameters * Ability to use precision measuring tools skillfully * Reading mechanical dials and digital measuring equipment to .001 inch * Reading mechanical scales in Inches and Millimeters * Assemble and fixture parts to meet production rate standards * Perform welding to visual and dimensional standards * Operate various hand tools clamps, files, and wrenches * Operate various pneumatic and electrical tools * Ability to setup and weld to print with little to no supervision * Ability to setup and operate equipment listed above with little to no supervision. * Fillet and Butt welds on .250” and thicker Aluminum plate, and .063- .125” Aluminum Sheet metal. Qualifications and Skills: * Welding certification preferred * 3 years or more of relevant job experience * Ability to read written instructions and follow verbal instructions. * Read and interpret assembly drawings, dimensions and tolerances. * Read and identify all components specified in a bill of materials Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: high noise level associated with manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
The candidate will set up and operate automated welding processes to build components according to specific drawings and print specifications. They are responsible for maintaining an uncluttered workspace and ensuring all parts meet visual and dimensional quality standards.
