AUTOCAD AND AUTOMATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

ATI has a current need for a full-time AutoCAD and Automation Support Technician.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with digital archiving software in relation to maintaining a digital document library;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with AutoCAD software;
  • Minimum of five (5) year with Microsoft Applications to produce letters, presentations, spreadsheets and email communications;
  • Experience working with the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry;
  • Experience assisting Design/Construction Project Managers within the AEC industry;
  • Experience working with the Coast Guard Technology Information Management System (CG – TIMS) preferred; and
  • US Citizenship with clearance eligibility and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen
    Job Type: Full-time
    Location: Norfolk, Virginia
    Working Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 per week).

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with PPI/RFI research into RFP, amendments, and codes as these are usually time sensitive, various project delivery and close-out tasks/activities;
  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with reviewing as-built files for archiving compliance;
  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with file searches for various types of construction projects;
  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers administration duties (i.e. prepare contractor discrepancy reports for as-built drawings that are not in compliance);
  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with creating and manipulating Library Cards for projects using digital archiving software (Coast Guard’s Technical Information Management System (CG-TIMS));
  • Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with administratively closing out contract actions by uploading final as-built files to digital archiving software assuring satisfactory completion and inclusion of final reports and evaluations; and
  • May be called upon to travel for site visits and partnering conferences.
