ABOUT US:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Part-Time AutoCAD & Mechanical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed mechanical designs for truck body components, including aluminum profile panels, side rails, and structural elements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, especially for vehicle components and structural elements.
  • Experience in designing for the transportation industry, particularly in truck body or similar structural design, is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and create clear, detailed designs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for precision in design work.
  • Previous experience in designing aluminum profiles, side rails, and truck outfitting components is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle regulatory standards and weight distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine designs based on project specifications and client needs.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Create clear and comprehensive drawings for the production team, including technical specifications and assembly instructions.
  • Assist in the development of outfitting designs for truck interiors and other specialized components.
  • Review and revise designs as needed based on feedback from engineering teams or production constraints.
