JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our fabrication team that thrives in a fast-paced working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, with expertise in AutoCAD software to create detailed and accurate technical drawings for fabrication projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Drafter, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software; experience with other CAD programs is a plus.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensions, and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and fabricators to develop detailed technical drawings and plans.
• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Interpret design specifications, blueprints, and sketches to produce accurate and precise drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a drawing library and database.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of drafts and revisions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of fabrication processes and materials to ensure practical and effective designs.
