AutoCAD Inventor / Designer

Diligent Innovation Fabrication and Machine, Inc. is seeking an in-house skilled and a highly motivated AutoCad / Inventor Designer to join our team. Must be willing to travel up to 20% to customer sites for measurements & layouts. Diligent is a fast paced, customer focused company that designs and develops custom projects in the food distribution industry. Diligent Innovation is rapidly growing and expanding the business and has an immediate need for a Designer looking for an exciting opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety is the number one priority at Diligent and we require this to be a focus on all projects.
• Develop and design custom projects.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images.
• Experience with Adobe Imaging software (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop), computer aided design (CAD) software and graphics software.
• Modify and refine designs, using working models to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
• Hands on reverse Engineering and Design experience including tolerance stack up, fit and function.
• Coordinate the look and function of product lines.
• Confer with engineering, marketing, production, or sales departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts.
• Design graphic material for use as illustrations.
• Functional use of Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project a plus.
• File management including: revision history, engineering change request, create, maintain, and sustain part number catalogs.
• Previous experience in Project Management strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in a fast paced industrial environment while wearing vision and hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves and any other required protective equipment.
Background and drug screen required on all potential candidates that are successful in being extended an offer.
