JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and drafting, with proficiency in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed schematics and drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of 1-2 years in Auto CAD position
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • A degree or certification in CAD technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Broad knowledge of machining techniques and CNC machine tooling
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D animation techniques is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in glass fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on programming
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Clear understanding of drawings; excellent blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports, correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Creating detailed engineering drawings and layouts for our glass manufacturing and processing operations using AutoCAD software
  • Developing and preparing engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specification sheets
  • Producing accurate documentation packages and drawing sets that comply with internal standards and industry best practices
  • Verifying and checking design drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and production teams to communicate technical details and support smooth workflow
  • Operating CAD workstations and drafting equipment to efficiently complete assignments
