The Automated Test Framework Software Engineer will support the framework of automated tests on multiple environments for a large complex enterprise system. Our agile development teams follow the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) pattern, where developers are responsible for implementing robust testing leveraging DevOps automation and, where appropriate, the use of test automation commercial tools. Activities supporting this framework include developing, improving and maintaining the BDD framework.
This role will work at the Annapolis Junction, MD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST HAVE DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE WITH JAVA, INCLUDING DEVELOPMENT OF UNIT TESTS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for DevOps-related activities both individually and as a member of an Agile team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications; troubleshooting and debugging automated tests to identify root causes of failures and ensure test reliability; working closely and collaborating with development teams to identify testable requirements; implementing automated testing solutions and ensuring that the software is testable; writing and executing automated test scripts using various testing tools and frameworks; maintaining clear and concise documentation; tracking issues; managing VMs; and using CI/CD tools and basic system admin experience. You will actively participate in daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and other related team activities.
