Description Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems. We are currently seeking a professional Automatic Door Technician with experience installing and/or servicing doors and frames with associated hardware. This position is within our Kamco Lock Solutions Division. Qualifications: • Perform emergency work orders, for residential and commercial clients. • Install, repair and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware. • Install, repair and maintain Access Control Hardware. • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, diagram or schedule form. • Trouble-shoot with a variety of variables in situations. • Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used. • Read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Write simple correspondence. • Effectively present information to customers & commercial clients. Requirements Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Following all Kamco and general contractor policies, rules, and safety regulations. Correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Proper and safe use of a variety of power tools and hand tools. Skills: Heavy lifting up to 75lbs. Strong mechanical aptitude - Experience working with tool in a trade skill environment. Basic computer and technology experience including the use of apps, cellphones, and Microsoft Teams. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
