Job Description We’re looking for an Automation Application Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team, designing, developing, testing, and commissioning automation and control solutions used in real-world environments. You’ll work across systems involving pumps, motors, valves, telemetry, sensors, irrigation, hydraulics, and process control equipment - developing reliable automation logic and troubleshooting issues in the field. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, contractors, and customers to deliver practical, scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include: Developing and configuring automation and control logic Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting systems Supporting telemetry, SCADA, and field device integration Investigating faults and improving system performance Producing technical documentation and maintaining configurations Supporting customers and internal teams with technical advice Qualifications You’re a practical, solutions-focused engineer who enjoys problem-solving and understanding how systems operate in the field. You bring strong troubleshooting capability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will have: Experience with automation programming or industrial control systems Understanding of telemetry, SCADA, Modbus, sensors, or industrial communications Experience with pumps, irrigation, water/wastewater, hydraulics, or process systems Strong communication and stakeholder skills A collaborative approach and continuous improvement mindset Additional Information Why Join HALO Systems?
