At Pentair, you will work along-side passionate problem-solvers who are committed to the future of our planet. We put our purpose into practice, helping people sustainably move, improve, and enjoy water, life’s most essential resource. From our residential and commercial water solutions to industrial water management and everything in between, our 9,750 global employees serve customers in more than 150 countries, working to help improve lives and the environment around the world.
Join our Water Solutions team in Chardon, OH as an Automation & Controls Engineer and take the lead in modernizing and automating our manufacturing operations. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have earned a bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related technical field.
  • Have 3+ years of hands-on experience working with automation systems in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments—such as PLC programming, HMI design, or robotic system integration.
  • Proficiency with industrial control platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, or Fanuc; experience with troubleshooting and optimizing control systems and automated equipment.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems used in production or warehouse automation, including pick-and-place, material handling, or AGVs (automated guided vehicles).
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles (e.g., kaizen, 5S, standard work).
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across departments.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of automation safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 79, ISO 13849).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix environment with both legacy and modern systems.
