SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Engineering Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Control Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field with relevant experience), backed by 2–4+ years designing equipment for high-volume industrial environments and implementing custom manufacturing cells.
Automation & Controls Proficiency: Hands-on experience programming PLCs, safety PLCs, and HMIs (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens), with strong knowledge of motion controllers, sensors, motors, drives, and control panel design—ensuring smart, safe, and scalable automation solutions.
Creative Problem Solving & Technical Agility: Sharp analytical thinker with a creative edge—skilled in AutoCAD or SolidWorks for schematic design, fluent in safety standards (OSHA, ANSI, NEC), and able to make informed decisions by digging deep into technical detail.
Strong Communicator & Team Player: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams, drive results, and continuously grow—demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a relentless focus on performance improvement.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $100,000 - $120,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
