GLO Resources is currently looking to hire an experienced Automation Controls Technician to work locally within Baton Rouge, LA. The rate of pay is negotiable and depends on experience, between $35-$50 per hour. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that enhance production efficiency and quality. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in various automation technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a Controls Specialist/Programmer or similar position
• Familiar with BAS communication protocols, specifically BACnet
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve any issues within systems
• Understanding of graphical programs such as Tridium/EcosStruxure front ends
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration within controls
• Valid Drivers License, MVR check, and drug screen required
• Twic and Osha preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position involves regular physical activity, including:

• Standing for prolonged periods.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

• Design and propose controls hardware appropriate for a project
• Manage programs from start to finish and ensure they cover all requirements
• Program custom applications from scratch or prepackaged libraries
• Responsible for startups and commissioning on BAS Systems
• Create controls databases from scratch
• Research and select a specific control system beneficial for the type of project
• Provide technical support for BAS projects
• Create systems using project hardware and computers
• Configure BAS control algorithms
• Execute internal functional and quality control testing
• Develop and implement project graphics
• Install project software
• Perform integrations as required
• Perform system commissioning via point-to-point checks
• Participate in functional tests of all systems
• Troubleshoot installation discrepancies of new systems
• Perform troubleshooting/service for existing systems
• May be assigned other duties
