POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an Automation Developer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that enhance efficiency and streamline processes. This role involves developing automated scripts, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with developers, product owners, testers and business unit teams to improve software quality and system reliability. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, experience with automation frameworks, and a deep understanding of cloud and on-premise technologies.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in automation testing, DevOps, or cloud platforms (e.g., ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.

SOFT SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in automation development, test automation, or DevOps automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, cloud environments, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Language: Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Work Hours: Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally approx. 5 weeks/year
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
