Responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in enhancing our production capabilities by supporting existing automation systems and identifying new opportunities for innovation.

Design and support manufacturing equipment including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Develop and troubleshoot control software and hardware.
  • Lead automation upgrades and improvements to boost operational efficiency.
  • Mentor technicians and support their development in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with UL and NFPA standards.
  • Collaborate on root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Create project timelines aligned with business goals.

What You’ll Need:

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer/Control Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Electrical Design & Automation Engineering.
  • Expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk SE/ME, Servo drives, and industrial networking.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components in processing systems.
  • CAD/electrical design experience and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency.
  • Experience with Fanuc robots, Kepware software, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • A motivated self-starter with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
