THE JOB

We are looking for a skilled automation engineer who will help develop the automation area and become a part of a global automation team consisting of 8 employees at the Nørresundby department and 6 colleagues in China.
DESMI is currently involved in several growing markets such as energy reduction and aquaculture and has a goal not only to be a component supplier but also to further expand our portfolio of systems both offshore and onshore, and to help deliver some of the solutions that are needed, for example, for the shipping industry to meet international CO2 reduction requirements. At DESMI, we see automation as a key factor in these objectives and it has therefore recently received additional focus and resources, though the need is still growing.
You will be involved in many areas within automation where there will be opportunities for specialization in specific areas, but also the possibility for a high degree of variation. Tasks that may be mentioned include design, electrical drawings, bill of materials, cost calculations, FAT testing, and final documentation – with reference to the Automation Manager.
The focus is to ensure a standardized product portfolio that supplies all DESMI’s segments and professional project execution with high quality, customer satisfaction, and traceability in close collaboration with the project managers.
You will become a part of a dynamic team where collaboration and a sense of humor are highly valued. You will be responsible for your own projects in collaboration with the project manager and have the opportunity for direct contact with salespeople, customers, subcontractors and service technicians. A maximum of 10 travel days per year is expected (for inspections and support of our products worldwide).

• Develop automation solutions based on pump and water treatment systems.
• Carry out automation projects based on costumer orders and new developments
• Generate drawings in SE-Electrical
• Provide electrical technical support to our global teams.
• Deliver technical solutions and production documentation that can be fully handed over to both the production and service departments.
• Document the technical solution in SEE and our ERP system.
  As an automation engineer at DESMI, you will be an important part of delivering the energy-optimized solution for all our customers, based on collaboration with the entire organization
  You likely have an “electrical project leader gene,” which enables you to keep the electrical workshop, documentation team, PLC programmers, and subcontractors running.
