Overview:
Kemin Application Solutions is on the lookout for a talented individual to join our team as an Automation Engineer. This team is a global engineering group that provides application expertise and support of Kemin’s liquid products for customers and their operations. In this position, this person will design, program, and install the application equipment for customers to use.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, with experience in PLC’s, SCADA, Ladder Logic, Script-based programming, hydro-mechanics, electro-mechanical engineering; measurement and control technology; processing engineering.
Interested applicants must be based in Des Moines, Iowa and willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

• Develop innovative PLC, HMI, and Scada solutions to maximize the applicator efficiency.
• Responsible for keeping system schematics and drawings up to date, managing version history.
• Responsible for researching technical and economical improvements.
• Recommend and review instrument specifications for projects.
• Build various application equipment.
• Troubleshoot existing application systems.
• Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required.
• Ability to assemble and install application equipment at customer sites across North America.
• Participate in attending local exhibitions, seminars, training and workshops.
• Assistance in development of new applications systems.
• Provide day to day support to customers, sales team and KAS engineers
