Job Description
Are you an experienced Automation Engineer ready to contribute to cutting-edge nuclear energy projects? We’re seeking KRH System Engineer to support the development and integration of the hydrogen detection system (KRH) within one of the UK’s most high-profile EPR nuclear projects.
In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of electrical engineering, system integration, and radioprotection—contributing to the safety, performance, and regulatory compliance of a critical system within the nuclear sector.

Degree-qualified Electrical or Automation Engineer.

  • Strong knowledge of RCC-E, BS7671, NFC15-100, NF C 13-200, or IEC 60909 standards.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear field via school curriculum or professional experience
  • Experience in nuclear engineering, radioprotection, or instrumentation systems design.
  • Proficient in reviewing technical documentation and working within complex industrial project environments.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems and regulatory compliance in the energy or nuclear field.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and maintain system documentation for the KRH hydrogen detection system—including operator instructions, HMI, safety and environmental specs, and control logic design.
  • Coordinate and manage interfaces with EDVANCE and other engineering disciplines involved in radioprotection equipment contracts.
  • Oversee the design and operation of EPR systems during the design, construction, and commissioning phases—ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and design requirements.
  • Ensure proper integration of detailed mechanical diagrams, functional diagrams, and 3D models within associated engineering tools.
  • Evaluate and validate design modifications from various engineering teams.
  • Participate in experience-sharing initiatives (OPEX) across projects and teams.
