Description
The Automation Engineer plays an important role in supporting Synergent’s production processing environment, including batch job setup, workload automation, Unix scripting, and the delivery of core and third-party application output. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working with operational systems, solving processing challenges, improving repeatable processes, and helping ensure critical production work is completed accurately and reliably for critical systems. The Automation Engineer works closely with internal teams to support daily processing needs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of Synergent’s automation and production operations. As part of the department’s support model, this position participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for production processing, automation, and related operational issues. On-call responsibilities are shared across the team to ensure timely response to critical issues while maintaining a balanced and sustainable support structure.
