Description
Assignment Description: • Responsible for handling/being a member of several software projects at the same time in accordance with time schedule and budget established by the PM. • Carry out automation engineering which include programming according to specification (SDS, Electrical drawings, P&ID and Scope of Supply). • Support start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting either on distance or on-site during project according to level of knowledge. • Support FAT test if needed during project. • Software testing and updating of program accordingly. • Support with information for manuals and instructions • Other duties as assigned Automation Engineer Specific • Responsible for development of new software functionality/features based on own design. • Creation/maintenance of SDS and similar documentation (FRS/FDS etc) • Stay up to date with new technology and tools and implement if necessary. • Execute software design reviews on colleagues work,and participate in general design reviews. • Can act as design lead in any new product development projects (small-large scopes) and act as mentor in the area of expertise for new or less experienced employees. • As design lead, responsible for taking the lead in planning, distribution and execution of software activities. • As design lead identifying main deliverables in sprints and subsequently planning the complete sprint in subtasks and following up on team members deliveries. • Creation of software validation plans and strategies. • Coordinate software releases with Technical Product Managers or Project Manager Requirements: • Academic degree in Mechatronics, Embedded Systems / Industrial Automation or equivalent. • Experience from PLC programming in common languages (e.g. STL, LAD, FBD, SCL, • Experience from Siemens S7, Allen Bradley or B&R control systems and software or Mathworks products (Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and Embedded Coder). • Knowledge in Software Development Models & Methods (S88). • Well trained in software design tools • Fluent written and spoken English Personality requirements: Self driven High engagement and energy
