Piper Companies is seeking a highly organized and proactive Automation Engineering Lead to oversee critical BMS and industrial automation projects. This role is essential in ensuring seamless system integration and optimization within a high-performance environment, with a focus on leading teams and collaborating with external systems integrators. This role is a hybrid, M-F opportunity in the Holly Springs area of North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities of the Automation Engineering Lead:

  • Lead teams of automation engineers and external systems integrators to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide functional expertise in Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware automation platforms
  • Oversee the integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of BMS equipment, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units (AHUs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficient system operations and continuous improvement
  • Conduct technical assessments, upgrades, and system validations to enhance automation performance

Qualifications of the Automation Engineering Lead:

  • Proven experience leading automation teams and managing project execution
  • Strong technical background in Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), including chillers, boilers, and AHUs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with external system integrators and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Compensation and Benefits of the Automation Engineering Lead:

  • Salary: $85,000-$145,0000
