Job Title: Automation Engineering Technician
Work Location: Northlake, Illinois (on-site)
Travel Requirement: 0-15%
The Engineering Technician will maintain the optimal performance of automated and robotic systems through efficient implementation, operation, and maintenance. This includes providing immediate troubleshooting and executing corrective actions to rapidly restore equipment and system functionality.
The Technician will support project implementation by performing acceptance testing and providing training, leading to improved equipment uptime and system reliability. This role also involves developing practices and procedures to optimize processes, increase production, enhance quality, and maintain high safety standards.
The Technician will monitor and troubleshoot automated systems both on-site and remotely, implement corrective actions, and propose long-term improvements. Success requires strong collaboration with plant operations, maintenance, and staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering or Technology degree preferred, or related certification/experience
  • 3+ years work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technology comparable technical roles, chemical manufacturing experience desirable
  • Instrumentation specification and configurations (required)
  • MS Office Suite (required)
  • AutoCAD (2D & 3D) knowledge required
  • PLC Systems (Rockwell StudioLogix5000) and Architecture (required)
  • Travel requirement: 0-15%
    Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000
