This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 30-50 LPA) Min Experience: 6 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to drive and enhance our software testing automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation frameworks, hands-on expertise in Selenium, and proven experience leading end-to-end automation strategy and execution. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to guide and mentor teams, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable automation solutions across projects. Key Responsibilities Lead Automation Strategy & Framework Development Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks aligned with project and organizational goals. Ensure frameworks support maintainability, scalability, and reusability. Test Automation Execution Own the complete automation lifecycle: requirement analysis, test scenario design, script development, execution, result analysis, and reporting. Selenium Expertise Develop, enhance, and debug automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, and related tools. Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and UI test suites. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with product managers, QA teams, developers, and DevOps engineers to define automation priorities and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor junior automation engineers and set best practices across teams. Continuous Improvement & Quality Ownership Identify gaps in existing testing processes and propose automation-driven enhancements. Ensure automation execution is reliable, repeatable, and aligned with release cycles. Documentation & Reporting Maintain clear documentation for automation frameworks, processes, test cases, and execution reports. Track and present automation progress, coverage, and ROI to stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications 6–10 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with at least 4+ years in designing and building automation frameworks. Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and related automation tools. Proficiency in programming languages used for automation (Java, Python, or similar). In-depth understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC. Experience integrating automation test suites with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.). Experience with API automation, performance testing, or mobile testing is a plus. Ability to define automation metrics, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous optimization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and manage small to mid-sized automation teams. Preferred Attributes Exposure to cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Certifications in QA, Automation, or Selenium (optional but desirable).
