Very reputable, well established and growing company located in the Youngstown, Ohio area is looking for an Automation Leader.
This role comes with an excellent compensation package with base salary ranging from $170k to $180k plus an annual 20% bonus. Relocation assistance is also available.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in automating, standardizing processes and control systems in manufacturing environment. Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS systems such as: ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rockwell, DeltaV, Allen Bradley or Ignition.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

  • Automation strategy and implementation by designing, programming, simulating and testing automated processes while assisting with reliability and risk aversion across the company.
  • Colloborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems and maintain optimal performance.
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes and always maintaining safe practices.
  • Actively reviews practices, workflows and systems to identify opportunities and advises on appropriate interventions for process improvements that impact production and business results.
  • Facilitates change management by engaging with cross funtional teams to foster a culture of system based, proactive and automated improvements; provides training and support to employees at all levels to encourage the adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Drives knowledge exchange with technology experts (plant resources, engineering solutions, internal/external consultant groups, sister plants) to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities
  • Integrate IT and OT systems to ensure seamless communication between different technological layers

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in control systems, programming and automation (required)

Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and DCS systems such as: ABB or Honeywell or Siemens or Rockwelll or Delta V or Allen Bradley, Inginition etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as: Python, Java, C++, Structured Text, Open AI
  • Experience with machine learning and AI applications in automation
  • Experience in designing and programming automation systems
  • Knowledge of controly systems and robotics
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
