JOB TITLE:              Automation Maintenance Technician   FLSA STATUS:       Non-Exempt   REPORTS TO:        Supervisor, Maintenance   LOCATION:              Broken Arrow, OK   SHIFT:                       8 AM - 4 PM                                                                                                                                                                                       JOB SUMMARY Perform work involving vision inspection machines and some specialty inspection equipment as well as some mechanical equipment.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. 2. Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery (Use eMaintenance for record-keeping). 3. Inspect equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. 4. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that the machine operates at maximum output.  If not running at documented parts per minute, identify and communicate the root cause. 5. Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine maintenance. 6. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. 7. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs. 8. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications. 9. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists. 10. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. 11. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information (Excel, eMaintenance). 12. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. 13. Set up, operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations. 14. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment (with machine operators and/or engineering). 15. Work closely with the Inspection Supervisor to understand when production orders are due. 16. Continually monitor the reject rate percentage and empty nest and react accordingly for over- and under-calling specific features. 17. Determine if the vision machine has issues or if the parts coming from molding are defective. 18. Train new vision machine operators and work with the Inspection Supervisor to determine performance.   OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Speak to others to convey information effectively (via verbal or email communication). * Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems. * Use problem-solving and root-cause analysis.  * Maintain the facility and make repairs as needed * Other duties as assigned   JOB REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent * Three years of experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment * A valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Ability to be on-call and work overtime as needed * Excellent “can-do” attitude with the ability to work well with a team or independently with various degrees of supervision * Electrical PLC/control panel experience preferred * Experience with maintaining liquid injection molding machines is preferred for the Owasso facility     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally: reach above shoulder with both hands, lift/carry up to 50 lbs Frequently: repeatedly push/pull up to 65 lbs., walk, lift upward with both arms outstretched, count and calculate, communicate details Constantly:  stand; reach outward with both hands, handle/finger, wrist, and elbow flexion, rotation, and articulation Other:  Near point non-color vision, sense of touch, tolerance for temperature in a non-controlled environment
