JOB SUMMARY

We are a proud manufacturer of seats and interior components for cars, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. We have locations in Ohio, Alabama, Nebraska, Texas, Indiana, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, with a team of over 7,000 Associates total.
This role is located in New Castle, IN. At this location, there are around 600 employees across all departments and we are looking to add two Project Engineers to our growing team. This opportunity is available due to growth, we have 2 new production lines that are coming into the facility before the end of 2025.
The Project Engineer will be part of the Kaizen group that will improve the overall efficiency of the plant. At this current time, many of the projects will be related to new product line launches. Individuals that have previous experience in that area would be ideal. Project Engineers could be responsible for up to 20 projects at one time. In addition to the project management activities this person will also work hands on with the equipment in the facility and needs to have the ability to troubleshoot and edit PLCs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in a Project Engineering/Management role in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience troubleshooting & editing PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley)

Nice to Haves:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 50/50 balance of Project Management and PLC experience

Pay: $40.79 - $43.27 per hour

• Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed schematics and designs for automated systems.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control machinery and processes effectively.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within automated systems and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing facilities.
• Design and program robotic systems for tasks such as welding, assembly, and material handling.
• Participate in project scheduling to align automation initiatives with overall production timelines.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Engage in mechanical engineering tasks related to tooling, fabrication, and assembly line processes.
