Job Title: Senior Associate – Automation QA (BDD Framework) Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Automation QA – Senior Associate with 3–5 years of experience in test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BDD frameworks, Cucumber, and TestNG, along with a solid understanding of functional testing and Agile methodologies. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using BDD approach (Cucumber) Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG Translate functional requirements and user stories into BDD scenarios (Gherkin format) Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to ensure complete test coverage Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing Execute regression, integration, and system-level automated test suites Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution activities across releases Ensure adherence to SDLC/Agile processes and quality standards Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and processes Required Skills & Experience 3 to 5 years of experience in Automation Testing Strong programming knowledge in Java Hands-on experience with: BDD Frameworks (Cucumber) TestNG Selenium WebDriver (UI automation) Experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC methodologies Experience with test scenario design, execution, and defect tracking Exposure to tools such as JIRA / ALM / Xray or similar Basic knowledge of SQL / database validation Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Good to Have Experience in Financial Services domain Exposure to: API automation (Rest Assured) CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.) Performance testing concepts (basic) Knowledge of test data management and environment handling Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Additional Notes Candidate should demonstrate ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset Ability to balance functional understanding with automation efficiency Strong inclination toward automation-first QA approach About State Street Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
