MUST HAVES

  • +4 years of extensive experience in designing, developing, and executing automated tests for mobile applications;
  • Proficiency with Appium is required;
  • Experience testing mobile apps on iOS and Android, as well as specific knowledge of testing applications on Apple Watch and Android Wear;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS pipeline);
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in software development, ability to test AI-driven features effectively;
  • Experience with or understanding of testing applications that utilize geospatial data, such as MongoDB’s geospatial API or similar solutions;
  • Experience conducting performance testing to ensure application responsiveness and speed;
  • Proficiency with test management tools like Jira, xRay, TestRail, GitHub, and GitLab;
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and understanding of Scrum methodology;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and troubleshoot complex issues;
  • Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation;
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute automated test strategies: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and automated scripts specific to the app’s features (voice interaction, AI predictions, wearable device integration, GPS tracking);
  • Build and maintain automated test suites: Design and implement robust, maintainable, and scalable automated tests using tools like Appium, ensuring coverage for both mobile app and wearable device functionality;
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines: Set up and manage automated testing within the project’s CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS pipeline) for continuous testing and rapid feedback;
  • Test API integrations: Develop and execute automated tests for the API that provides golf course information, weather data, and other relevant data to the application;
  • Focus on critical features: Prioritize automation efforts on the core, complex features of the app, including AI-driven recommendations, voice commands, and real-time data updates on wearables;
  • Test wearable device functionality: Develop automated tests to verify the seamless integration and functionality of the app on Apple Watch and Android Wear devices, including speech-to-text and text-to-speech features;
  • Performance testing: Conduct performance tests to ensure the app meets the “2-second response” requirement for AI-driven interactions;
  • Defect tracking and reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira, and work closely with developers to resolve them;
  • Collaborate with the team: Work closely with developers, designers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment to ensure a high-quality product, and provide valuable feedback from the end-user perspective;
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support: Assist in UAT by preparing test environments, test data, and supporting real user testing sessions before launch.
