Controline Ltd (UK), located in Elland, has been designing and manufacturing electrical control panels for over 30 years as well as providing electrical engineering solutions to a wide range of industries such as food & beverage, waste recycling, pharmaceuticals, textiles and hazardous area applications for zone 1, 2, 21 & 22.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

• Level 3 or higher qualifications electrical/engineering required (ONC, HNC, NVQ equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PLC & HMI programming, design and system integration
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens, as well as other manufacturers, controllers and HMI’s is essential
• Experience with industrial control systems and instrumentation
• Experience with variable speed drives, both AC and DC
• AutoCAD experience essential
• Experience of Industrial Networking protocols: Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/ IP, Modbus etc
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as individually
• Ability to manage projects and interact with clients
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Experience of commissioning PLC & HMI systems on customer sites is essential
• Clean driving licence

This is a full-time hybrid role for a PLC Automation/Software Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, installation, and commissioning of PLC & HMI Software for industrial control systems. The role will be based in Elland, with flexibility required for remote working which will include overnight stays and potentially travel abroad.
