SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES/REQUIRED:

  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamic 365 and M365 technologies
  • Experience delivering Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI solutions to meet the business needs. This includes administration, configuration, customization, integration, testing and deployment.
  • Experience in Nintex technologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

BDO is looking to hire an experienced Automation Team Lead on a full-time, 6-month contract, commencing in late August 2025. As an Automation Team Lead, you’ll contribute to the success of the firm by working closely with the IT team and internal stakeholders to contribute to the team’s technical capability in all aspects of our current and prospective automation technologies. This includes analysing business processes, designing and implementing automation solutions and working with external vendors on larger initiatives. You will assist in maturation of our platforms, and support the development, governance and operation of internal technologies and applications.
Working as part of the IT team and reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and support a team of Automation Administrators, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Analyse business requirements to design, develop and deliver scalable and efficient process automations using the technologies available to us, that create efficiencies and integrate applications and platforms within our internal organisation
  • Responsible for architecture, design, build, test, deployment and maintenance of the business automation solutions, ensuring they meet organisational objectives and standards.
  • Administration and support of our automation environment which is primarily MS Power Platform/MS Centre of Excellence/Nintex Technologies.
  • Contribute to the governance, architecture and technical design and alignment of our automation technologies with best practices and organisational goals.
  • Assist citizen developers/business owners to identify opportunities for process improvement using the power platform (Power apps, Power Automate and Power BI) as well as the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Assist the organisation with the support and guidance of AI technologies.
