Description

We're looking for a hands-on Automation Team Lead to own the entire testing lifecycle—from test infrastructure design and automation strategy to a fully green CI/CD pipeline in production. You’ll lead a high-impact team, while spending ~50% of your time writing Python code, designing frameworks, and driving quality culture across R&D. Key Responsibilities: Design and drive the automation strategy across product releases, quality KPIs, and test tooling. Build robust, production-grade test automation frameworks and suites using Python and pytest. Integrate automation into our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins-based): gating builds, generating reports, and keeping pipelines green. Define test architecture and translate product/R&D requirements into scoped user stories and test plans. Mentor and lead automation engineers: conduct code reviews, pair program, support career growth. Collaborate daily with developers, QA, DevOps, and research teams to align on quality and delivery. Core Technologies & Tools: Programming Language: Python Testing Framework: pytest CI/CD: Jenkins (or similar tools) Methodologies: Agile, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, E2E Testing Environments: Linux, Windows (advantage) Virtualization: Docker (advantage) Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience developing automation frameworks in Python or pytest. Proven track record of designing and building test automation infrastructure (not just writing scripts). 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or team management — including hiring, mentoring, and delivery ownership. Strong knowledge of test methodologies: unit testing, integration, end-to-end (E2E), and regression testing. Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools. Experience working in Agile development environments. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with manual and exploratory testing for full-quality coverage. Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments. B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent field.

Responsibilities

The Lead will be responsible for designing and driving the overall automation strategy, building robust test automation frameworks using Python and pytest, and integrating these into Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, they will mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate across R&D teams to ensure quality delivery.
