Description

The Automation Technician position will support Sojo’s industrial machinery as well as warehouse maintenance. This includes performing preventative maintenance and routine troubleshooting on equipment and general facility maintenance tasks.

Position Essential Functions Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and repairs (M&R) on electromechanical packaging machines, air compressors, tray formers and other related equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment failures for root cause and work with manager and coworkers to find better improvements for equipment.
  • Install modifications to equipment as instructed by manager.
  • Follow PM schedules and procedures, recording all relevant information.
  • Install replacement and upgraded equipment on machines.
  • Lubricate, clean and service equipment.
  • Maintain M&R records as directed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working area.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualification

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of plant mechanic experience required.
  • Stick welding/fabrication experience required
  • Electrical experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, ex: OSHA, MSHA
  • Forklift certified a plus
  • Willingness to put in overtime when necessary to complete a task.
  • Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and ownership.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
