POSITION SUMMARY   The Electrical and Automation Entry Level Technician is responsible for the daily electrical support for the factory. Additional duties include preventative maintenance and electrical support for capital and extraordinary maintenance projects. The position requires good communication skills and teamwork with all departments. Individuals will need strong time management skills, be self-motivated and able to complete in-plant electrical projects/repairs with minimal assistance. Also utilize equipment logs and reports, and data from computerized maintenance systems to track equipment reliability and manage time. This position would work directly with an experienced E&A Technician as a mentor to guide thru onboarding.Responsibilities:  Electrical skills or ability to learn on the following technologies: PLCs: Pico, Micro, CompactLogix, SLC500, ControlLogix, Guardlogix & PLC-5 Servo's: Ultra, Kinetix 5500 and 5700 and capable to deal with all other types. Networks: Ethernet /IP, Sercos, DH-485, DH+ and Remote I/O Safety devices: Guard I/O, Safety relays Drives: Schneider, ABB, SIEMENS Software: RSLinx, Drive Executive, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, PanelBuilder32, FactoryTalk View, Asset Centre, BOOTP-DHCP Server, RSNetworx AND All SIEMNESE type softwares. Computer Skills including familiarity with: Electrical Software, Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, Auto CAD, and SharePoint Skills on the following electrical testing devices to connect, set-up, and perform testing to troubleshoot plant issues Multimeters: AC, DC voltage and amperage, milliamp, millivolt, OHM's, frequency, and min/max readings Calibration equipment: Calibration tester, dry blocks, etc. Daily checklist (start-up Electrical) Work on small teams on removal and installation of equipment Maintain close working relationship with equipment operators and line team leaders Abide by all plant rules/policies including safety, GMP regulations and perform good housekeeping practices Working with the other maintenance techs to increase their electrical skills Optimize electrical/process control maintenance and operation costs  Optimize electrical/process control hardware and software to maintain plant at high level of efficiency, safety, quality, etc. Maintain liaisons with other departments, disciplines, and facilities to provide necessary support and expertise for the execution of capital investment projects and market and global initiatives. Perform troubleshooting in case of problems and ensure the PLC, HMI and MES applications are properly maintained • Maintain industrial applications and hardware in the automation layer• Strictly adhere to PLC and HMI change management policy/procedures  • Maintain the reliability and the performance of the FAS IT infrastructure and peer to peer networks • Closely coordinate with other functions, such as quality, safety, operations and production, with special emphasis on QMS, HAACP and calibration  Must be able to work in a team-based environment with all departments Desire to learn   Requirements:  Associate Degree in an Industrial Electrical technical field such as Automation Systems Technology, Electrical Industrial. Understands troubleshooting; Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interpret and comprehend technical literature and print documentation  Working knowledge of switchboards, MCCs, panel boards, control cabinets Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.       MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.   REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
