And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.  Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency of automated assembly lines, provide support to shift operations as request by the shift leader/production manager, and develop long-term predictive/preventative maintenance plans for all assembly equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain automation associated with assembly equipment, injection molding machines, and related auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and pneumatic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drives, valves, solenoids, and cylinders.       Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment. Generate and Complete Work Orders associated with both preventative and routine maintenance as required. Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment. Work as engineering liaison to: Implement new processes & equipment Improve existing processes and equipment Optimize molding and assembly equipment functions Provide modifications or improvements to existing procedures and documentation Provide technical advice or assistance, as directed by supervisor, to other West Pharmaceutical Services engineering personnel or to maintenance personnel. Assist other groups on individual customer quality problems that relate to the equipment. Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times. Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target. Additional Responsibilities Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to read/interpret electric and pneumatic schematics to perform equipment troubleshooting and repairs. Able to always comply with the company’s Safety and Quality policy. Ability to follow all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they relate to the position covered by this Job Description. Experience with troubleshooting PLC’s and Vision Systems software is a plus.  Education   Education: 2-year technical degree Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities   Background in medical devices/pharmaceutical would be a plus. Knowledge of quality systems requirements, FDA Quality System Regulation, cGMP and ISO 9002. Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times. Work Experience   2+ years of troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment. Travel Requirements 10%: Up to 26 business days per yearPhysical Requirements Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.Salary Range 28-32 usd/hour28-32 usd/hourShift Night Shift - Sunday to Tuesday and every other Saturday (4:45 pm until 6 am)            West is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
